Hi, I'm Ashley!

I'm the face behind Sugar Birch Photography. I have loved photography for as long as I can remember but I decided to turn it into a profession after having my two kids and seeing firsthand how quickly children grow. I swear they look completely different in photos taken just a few weeks apart. The days are long but the years are short? Yesss. So short. I can't control how fast the years pass but I can certainly make sure they are well-remembered.

So how does this work?

I will respond within a day or two to learn more information about you and the type of session you're wanting. We will work together to identify a day, time, and location for your session. I shoot most of my photo sessions in southeast Michigan, but I'm always willing to travel! My goal for every session is for you to have fun and feel comfortable. I think unposed/unscripted photos are the best at showing actual connection and energy and they tend to be my favorites from every session. I love photo editing and I tend to use a lot of deep color and warm tones when I edit. I also love being creative and trying new and fun ways to document your story. I will send you a digital gallery of your fully-edited photos within two weeks of your session (six weeks for weddings). Sound good? Let's get your session booked!
